Encore 5 for Windows Released

New VSTi host

Encore 5 for Windows is now available. It took us a little bit longer than what we expected, but you will see the results of our work right away when you use Encore 5.

New Encore® 5 features include:

Music XML import and export

Enhanced playback with dynamics, hairpins and slurs

Gvox VSTi Host for orchestra libraries

Handwritten font

New graphic interface

Quartz drawing (smoother lines and tapered slurs)

International editions: French, Spanish, Dutch and German (coming soon)

The release of Encore 5 is the first serious upgrade in over 10 years for a product that is so loved by our customers. We added more shortcuts, easy tool display, help tips, score setup wizard, templates, limitless custom templates, Music XML, more playback options, enhanced graphics, larger hot-spots and more. In addition, we’re including scores of works of J.S. Bach that you can use as is or arrange for your instrumentation.

We have added a VSTi host application for Encore 5. This will enable you to easily use instrument sample libraries. The Gvox VST Host was designed with our customers’ work habits in mind. You have told us that you like the way Encore launches to a blank score very quickly (approx 15 sec.) and doesn’t waste time loading sounds and assigning MIDI instruments. This way, you can write down your idea faster! The Gvox VST Host will launch when you want to use it or you may choose not use it at all. As always, we allow you to control how our software performs.

MIDI interface and MIDI keyboard (or other MIDI instrument or software) for live recording, and a compatible ink-jet or laser-quality printer for printing sheet music.
